A depiction of three nereïds (sea nymphs) from the Nereïd Munument, c. 390 BC, originally in Lycia (modern-day Turkey) and currently held in the British Museum. The wind-blown drapery of the godesses’ garments in the so-called wet-cloth style emphasizes their swift movement.
